With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Mickey Karram joins The Roxbury Institute as the Director of Gynecological Surgery. Dr. Karram is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. As an internationally renowned Urogynecologist and pelvic surgeon, he specializes in five main categories of pelvic floor disorders: (1) bladder dysfunction (2) bowel dysfunction (3) pelvic organ prolapse (4) pelvic pain and (5) female sexual dysfunction. Utilizing traditional surgical techniques combined with the latest in non-invasive modalities, Dr. Karram addresses a multitude of feminine pelvic disorders and issues. He is the Director of the research division in women’s health at The Christ Hospital in addition to Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Urology at the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine. Dr. Karram continues to bring awareness and education about feminine health issues and disorders thru his numerous publications in more than 200 scientific articles and book chapters. He has co-authored several textbooks in addition to the series editor of an 8-book series entitled Female Pelvic Surgery Atlas Series. Currently, he and his wife, Mona have co-founded the national non-profit foundation for Female Health Awareness which raises funds to support education and research for women’s health.
