Lymphatic Massage

Regular lymphatic massages are a wonderful addition to your existing anti-aging and wellness regimen. They are designed to help your body process toxins in a more efficient manner, and may help you heal from within, enjoy optimal wellness and feel your youthful best for years to come.

An overview of lymphatic massage

The delicate lymph system is an important part of the immune system. It’s responsible for carrying fluids through the body, producing immune cells and removing toxins, waste, extra fluid and viruses. When this system is not working well, you may be tired, swollen and more susceptible to illness. Lymphatic massage is designed to help the lymph system function optimally, and may help to:

  • Reduce stress
  • Detoxify your cells
  • Clear congestion from the lymph system
  • Improve the appearance of cellulite
  • Reduce swelling throughout the body
  • Stimulate your immune response
  • Enhance relaxation
  • Promote overall wellness
  • Accelerate healing after plastic surgery

What to expect during your procedure

Your lymphatic massage at The Roxbury Institute will be an extremely soothing experience. With that said, it will feel completely different from a traditional, deep tissue massage. During your appointment, you will lie down in one of our relaxing treatment rooms, and we will perform a very gentle and rhythmic massage that is designed to stimulate, support and improve your lymph system. This massage is so light and gentle that many of our Beverly Hills patients actually fall asleep during their session. You can expect the appointment to last approximately one hour, and we recommend having these lymphatic massages on a regular basis to maximize their detoxification and health benefits.
