Ultherapy Beverly Hills

As we age, our skin begins to sag and loosen. There are many ways to tighten the skin and treat this concern, both surgical and non-surgical. Ultherapy stands out as a non-invasive, ultrasound therapy treatment that boosts collagen, lifting the skin on the neck, under the chin and around the eyebrows, leaving you looking younger and rejuvenated.

What is Ultherapy?

Ultherapy is FDA approved to use ultrasound energy, a technology that has been successfully used for years, to lift and tighten the skin naturally by dramatically stimulating collagen production.

Using traditional ultrasound imaging, your specialist will be able to see each layer of tissue that is being treated. This allows them to ensure that the treatment energy is delivered to the key target points.

When will I see results, and how long do they last?

You may see an initial improvement after your Ultherapy treatment, but the final results will slowly appear over the next 2-3 months. Your body will be regenerating collagen, the natural building block of fresh, firm skin. This creates a new and regenerated structure of skin on the face and neck that is tighter and younger, naturally.

The length of time Ultherapy results last varies from patient to patient. Collagen production is boosted at the deep tissue level, and this renewed production is continual. However, your natural aging process may slow the results after one year.

Maintenance treatments can be done to continue the long-lasting effects. We will consult with you and create a personal treatment plan to help maximize and continue the results.

Who is a good candidate for Ultherapy?

Patients who would like to have firmer, tighter skin who meet the following criteria may be good candidates for Ultherapy:

  • has mild to moderate skin laxity
  • has a lowered eyebrow line
  • has loose skin on the neck or sagging under the chin
  • has lines or wrinkles on the chest
  • the skin is beginning to look and feel less firm

What happens during an Ultherapy treatment?

The Ultherapy device uses sound energy, or ultrasound, which has unique properties that allow it to reach greater depths below the skin than any other non-invasive cosmetic device. The sound energy applied to these deep tissues dramatically stimulates collagen production in the skin’s foundation, resulting in a significant lift of tissue over the next 2-3 months.

During the treatment, a topical anesthetic will be applied to ensure your comfort. As the device is placed on your skin and the ultrasound energy is delivered, you will feel energy being deposited to the exact depths of tissue needed. This is a sign that the collagen-building process is beginning. This sensation is different for each person, and you may feel uncomfortable, but it only lasts while the energy is being delivered, and the procedure is short.

How many Ultherapy treatments will I need?

Usually only one treatment is needed. Some patients benefit from additional treatments to keep the results continuing after time has passed. If the skin is more lax, more than one treatment may be best to produce the highest level of results.
