What to expect during your procedure
Your laser skin resurfacing procedure in Beverly Hills will be performed entirely in one of our soothing treatment rooms. We will begin by cleansing your skin, applying a local anesthetic and giving you eyewear to protect you from the light of the laser. We will then apply the laser to your treatment areas, carefully removing damaged skin cells while heating the deepest layers of your skin to promote the growth of fresh, healing collagen. Thanks to the local anesthetic, you can expect this process to be completely comfortable and virtually pain-free.
Once the procedure is complete, you will begin the recovery period. This healing process is critically important, because it’s when your new skin grows in, and your beautiful results appear. Over the next several days, you can expect redness, flaking, and mild swelling as the treated skin exfoliates and the damaged outer layer gradually sheds. This is a normal part of the healing process and a sign that the laser has successfully triggered skin renewal. Most patients notice significant improvement within 7 to 10 days, with full recovery typically taking about two weeks. During this time, it's essential to keep the skin moisturized, protected from the sun, and avoid picking or scrubbing. As the new skin surfaces, you'll see a smoother texture, more even tone, and a noticeably refreshed, youthful appearance.
