What to expect during your breast lift
The breast lift is a complex procedure that requires a true artist’s hands, eyes and vision for optimal results. After sedating you with general anesthesia to ensure your comfort and safety, our breast surgeons will begin your procedure with strategically placed incisions. For example, if you require minimal skin tightening, we may create a very minor incision around each areola, resulting in less intensive scarring. If you have breasts that are relatively light but require more extensive skin tightening, we may create an incision around the areola and down the front of the breast, allowing us to access more of the underlying tissue. And finally, if you suffer from severe sagging and loose skin, we will likely create the more substantial anchor incision, making cuts around the areola, down the front of the breast and along the breast crease.
Once the incision has been made, we will begin elevating your breasts. Guided by the vision you have for your ideal appearance, we will reduce excess tissue in the area and reshape your breasts to achieve a more attractive and perky look. In many cases, we will also reposition your nipples so they’re in a more youthful location on your chest. Once we have successfully elevated your breasts, we will trim away any excess skin and close the incisions carefully to ensure that any resulting scars are as imperceptible as possible.
