What happens during an EXCEL V laser treatment?

Topical anesthesia is not required for EXCEL V laser treatments. During your treatment, the EXCEL V handpiece is moved over the affected areas of the skin. The handpiece emits the laser energy, which is concentrated there until the abnormal vessels diminish. The treatment time will take 15–30 minutes.

Is there a recovery period after EXCEL V treatments?

One of the benefits of EXCEL V treatments is that there is little or no recovery period afterward. Patients can expect some minor skin irritation and redness, which should fade in a few hours, or a day at most. Use a moisturizer and protect your skin from the sun for the following few days or a week after your treatment.
