Many people suffer from skin concerns, including broken blood vessels, pigmentation concerns, lesions, redness, acne, and others. Skin conditions like these can negatively impact a patient’s quality of life and cause a lack of confidence or embarrassment.
To effectively resolve these concerns, we offer EXCEL V laser treatments to achieve beautiful, healthy, radiant skin.
What is the EXCEL V Laser?
EXCEL is the first laser to feature two ultra-precise, gold-standard wavelengths and three unique operating modes. These features allow us to treat a wide range of superficial and deep vascular conditions, including rosacea, broken capillaries, pigmented lesions, and skin redness.
The EXCEL V laser includes the Genesis V handpiece, which can also deliver laser energy in micro-pulses. This allows the EXCEL V to better treat skin redness and acne and safely stimulate a boost in collagen production.
The EXCEL V is a customizable laser and an adjustable spot size that can be altered to treat each patient’s unique skin condition. It also features cooling technology to ensure patient comfort during treatments.
What skin conditions can be treated with EXCEL V?
The EXCEL V treats a variety of skin concerns, including the following:
- Facial Veins (red and blue)
- Spider veins in the leg
- Purple lesions on lips (venous lake)
- Skin redness on the neck and face
- Dilated oil glands
- Pigmented lesions, including port wine stain, hemangiomas, cherry angioma, and others
- Unwanted freckles
- Sun damage
What happens during an EXCEL V laser treatment?
Topical anesthesia is not required for EXCEL V laser treatments. During your treatment, the EXCEL V handpiece is moved over the affected areas of the skin. The handpiece emits the laser energy, which is concentrated there until the abnormal vessels diminish. The treatment time will take 15–30 minutes.
Is there a recovery period after EXCEL V treatments?
One of the benefits of EXCEL V treatments is that there is little or no recovery period afterward. Patients can expect some minor skin irritation and redness, which should fade in a few hours, or a day at most. Use a moisturizer and protect your skin from the sun for the following few days or a week after your treatment.
