How Does Microneedling Work?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment in which very thin needles poke holes in the top layer of the skin. When the needles cause this minor injury, it encourages the skin to create new tissue that’s rich in collagen. Collagen is a very important protein that contributes to the health and appearance of the skin, but as we get older, we produce less of it.
When the new skin is produced with plenty of collagen and elastin, that skin becomes firm and smooth with an even tone. As a result, the skin in the treatment area looks significantly healthier and more youthful.
